The Ale Boy's Feast Book Review

The Ale Boy’s Feast, book 4 and the last of the series of Auralia's Thread, was created by Jeffrey Overstreet
The entire series is a masterpiece of language, beautifully sculpted around an intriguing plot line and fascinating characters.
This series is worth purchasing and keeping on the family book shelf. They are books that you can read more than once, for the depth that they hold. Truly a work of art.

I received a free copy of this book from the publisher in conjunction to the CSFF blog tour-thanks!

The Ale Boy's Feast primarily follows the Ale boy as he tries to complete the rescue of the survivors of Abascar, a people searching for a new city, hope, and the source of Aurelia's colors.

What I loved: I loved the words, which were each lovingly plucked and arrayed on paper-a real treat for the eyes. I also was pleased that I did not lose track of the story in the midst of the words. Mr. Overstreet displays a superb mastery of writing. I loved the (spoiler alert) forest coming to life to seek vengeance on them. Kept you on your toes.

What I did not like:Honestly, there was not much that I did not like. I did find (spoiler alert) that there were too many characters coming back to life. I could have believed the one, but after a whole slew of them came back, it felt a little unrealistic to me; I felt that I had been jolted out of the of book world zone. But all in all an excellent read!
